Amy Saunders

CEO, Founder

Award-nominated leader, Amy Saunders works with clients in both documentary and narrative film, as well as music and books. She has worked internally at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, Warner Brothers, and with AMC Networks, where she has worked with a plethora of talented actors, filmmakers, documentary storytellers, and industry change-makers including A-listers Kevin Bacon, Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Oscar-nominee Alicia Vikander, Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, cult icon Rob Zombie, Oscar-winner George Miller, and many more. She is also the first person to ever walk two “ghosts” down a red carpet at TIFF.

Her clients are frequently featured in Canadian and global media such as the Globe and Mail, The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, VICE, the Hollywood Reporter, BBC, and more. 

A current candidate for OCAD University's Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation, Amy Saunders brings sustainable foresight and trend-forecasting to AlphaPR’s campaigns and strategy in their holistic and innovative approaches.

In her free time, she is a Reiki healer.

Danyel McLachlan

Vice President

Danyel McLachlan has been part of the entertainment and film communications industry for almost a decade, working with various high profile festivals including Nuit Blanche, Luminato, and the Toronto International Film Festival. During her time at TIFF, Danyel managed publicity for several projects, film premieres, and retrospectives, including Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition, digiPlaySpace, TIFF Next Wave, and Soiree with Natalie Portman. She has repeatedly secured coverage in local, national, and international press, including top-tier TV and print pieces in outlets like Breakfast Television, Canada AM, CBC, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post, Toronto Life, PlayBack, and the cover of Where Magazine. Her content creation experience includes annual reports, corporate bios, speech writing, and other media materials.

Danyel loves watching movies (to state the obvious) and one of her career highlights has been running a cat red carpet for the Just for Cats Internet Cat Video Festival. She is also a keen TV binger, a karaoke enthusiast, and a guacamole aficionado.

Aidan Fisher

Festival Assistant

Aidan Fisher is a recent Public Relations Management graduate of Humber College. Working within social media brand management and journalism, Aidan has created content for Menu Magazine & Milton Talk. Since graduating, AlphaPR granted him his first role as an intern publicist at Toronto’s 2018 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival where he worked on titles such as Audience Award winner 'MAXIMA', award-winning film 'Drag Kids', White Pine's 'Toxic Beauty' and 'The Corporate Coup d'Etat', 'Take Me to Prom', PBS Frontline's 'On The President's Orders', and more. 

Aidan is a huge believer in ethics, and believes that it is the number one thing that shapes a company. In his spare time, Aidan enjoys creating avant-garde photography, high fashion, modelling, blogging & contributing to various types of activism. Aidan is a huge 90s & indie film fanatic and music is his life.

Trudy Goldenberg

Professor, Humber Media

Trudy Goldenberg is a communications and business strategy consultant, advising a variety of organizations on how to align and integrate marketing activities to achieve business goals. Her experience includes 13+ years of overseeing the corporate communications and marketing activities of two of Canada’s leading law firms. 

She also has significant international communications and cross-cultural consulting experience. Trudy speaks regularly at conferences on client and public relations, thought leadership, ethics, professionalism and practice management. 

Renee Sylvestre-Williams

CEO, -30- Communications

Renee Sylvestre-Williams is the owner of -30- Communications, a content and communications marketing company. A journalist by training, her work focuses on the intersection of women, money and diversity.

Her work has been in the Globe and Mail, Canadian Living, the Ethnic Aisle, where she served as publisher and TVO.

In her spare time, she records her podcast about Gen X culture and affairs and hangs out with her nieces and nephew. 


Vanessa Morcom

Lead Publicist, Me to We

Vanessa got her start as the publicist and event planner for Paris Hilton over ten years ago. She catapulted to Hollywood's upper echelon as the CEO of Morcom Media, acting as the PR for Drake, Pamela Anderson, Alan Thicke, Madonna, Rihanna, and many more A-list celebrities. Vanessa's past clients include SLICE, W Network, Valentino, and more. She starred alongside rising star Jenna Talackova in E!'s Brave New Girls

Vanessa is the lead publicist for ME to WE social enterprise, promoting socially conscious retail which benefits over 1,800 local Artisans in Kenya and Ecuador.  ME to WE empowers consumers to change the world. Half of all ME to WE profits are donated to support WE Charity, while the other half is reinvested to grow the mission of the social enterprise.

Catherine Cramer, Founder of EventsbyCC

Events and Publicity Specialist

Catherine's experience with AlphaPR was trial-by-fire, in the throes of TIFF 2018. Catherine managed the 10th annual Canadian Music Cafe, as well as the junket and World Premiere Party for Oscar nominated director Selma Vilhunen's STUPID YOUNG HEART. 

Catherine Cramer has been an events and project manager for the better part of the last ten years, most recently launching 5 stores for the well-known niche brand BRIKA in Toronto, Ontario. Catherine specializes in corralling team morale and bringing together efforts and resources for successful launches of events, stores, brands, and labels. Catherine is a passionate activator, always ready with glitter in her pocket. Her work has taken her across Canada and the US for brands such as Freshii, BRIKA and Reds Wine Tavern. 

Catherine is an avid reader; Harry Potter, The Secret History, A Star Called Henry are a few of her favourites but has also been known to obsess over any and all tween/teen/adult series from Twilight to 50 Shades. She is also a big fan of health and beauty which began at the age of 25 when she purchased her first hair brush - it was a big moment for her.
