Meet the AlphaPR team
Known for her innovative storytelling abilities and trusted relationships across North American film and media, Amy Saunders began her work in film and entertainment publicity at Warner Bros. Canada in 2015. Working her way from an intern to theatrical marketing assistant, she assisted with A-lister red carpets, PA tours, junkets and more. Amy moved on to Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, then worked with AMC for the launch of their SVOD’s Shudder and Sundance Now. In 2017, she founded the now well-known PR agency, AlphaPR, specializing in film, television, entertainment and creative arts which quickly gained international clients. Since then she has worked with international legacy brands, politicians and celebrities.
Oyin Olalekan is a writer, and producer based in Toronto. She has been responsible for the marketing strategy (traditional and online), for premiere screening events across Canada and the United States. She has managed campaigns for the feature films Brown Girl Begins and UNFRACTURED, the webseries “virgins!”, and curated programming at the DOC Institute and POV. She is a Winter Tangerine writing fellow and alumnus of the Beats & Intentions 2020 Playwright Unit. She is a 2023 fellow of the XIR Residency, and with two feature films in development, she is always reaching for the next story to tell.
A seasoned PR professional, Danyel has collaborated with industry leaders, creatives, and media both in Canada and internationally. Working with top Toronto arts festivals including TIFF, Nuit Blanche, and Luminato, Danyel has an extensive background in crafting and executing publicity campaigns and events, from Festival junkets to red carpets to film exhibitions.
